RE: Customizing mouse motions?

If you're talking about the mouse 'gestures' used for things like panning and zooming, I'm not aware of any ability to customize/edit them, at least not from an NX point of view.

RE: Customizing mouse motions?

Would this be in reference to the radial pop up menus? Hold down control-shift and press LMB, MMB, or RMB and a radial pop up menu appears. If so, you can easily customize these. Change to the application that you want to customize (modeling, drafting, sheet metal, etc) right click on a menu and choose 'customize'. On the 'toolbars' tab, scroll all the way down and check 'Radial 1', 'Radial 2', and 'Radial 3'; then you will be able to drag and drop your desired commands in the position you want.

Another radial pop up menu appears if you click and hold RMB. This can also be customized but it does require editing a text file. I'm sure it is covered in another thread on this forum, but I can't seem to find it right now.

RE: Customizing mouse motions?

OK, what you're talking about is something called the 'Radial Pop-Up Menus'.  There are basically four different options, 3 of which can be edited using the Customize tools.  The last option, based on the View Pop-Up functions, can only be modified by editing the Pop-Up Menu file itself.

As for the 3 that can be easily edited, once the Customize dialog is open, in case you can't see the radial menus they are eather not turned-on or they might be hidden behind the dialog itself (you may have to move it to find them).  If they are not displayed, even after you've moved the Customize dialog, go to the bottom of the 'Toolbar' list in the customize dialog and toggle ON the 3 'Radial' items.  Now you can edit them like any other toolbar.

Note that you can also edit the View Pop-Up menu, but these edits will not effect the View Pop-Up Radial menu (as I stated previously, if you wish to edit them, you will need to edit the menu file itself).
