NX7.5 Viewing A Components Assembly Constraints?

NX7.5 Viewing A Components Assembly Constraints?

NX7.5 Viewing A Components Assembly Constraints?

(OP)
I searched and found a similar question from 2007 so I am guessing it was concerning an earlier NX version. It referred to a Dependencies window, but I cannot find that, even if it still relavent.

We are using NX7.5 (Upgraded from NX4) and I am trying to determine how to show the component specific mating constraints within an assembly.  I see the constrains listed in the ANT, but known of those seem to be realted to the component in question.

I think I found what I was loooking for by Showing all the constraints and then selecting the specific constraint symbol and editing it that way.

Highlight a component in the ANT, open the Dependencies panel and then click the Detailed View icon (magnifying glass). You will then see the constraints for that specific component.

Admittedly, it's not perfect and it is slow going, but that's all we've got for now.

Below is a picture showing how to use the Assembly Navigator Dependency panel to accomplish what you seek:

Where is the Dependencies panel?

Corporate filters do not allow me to see your image John.

At the bottom of the Assembly Navigator.  If you don't see the Dependency panel 'button', try selecting the very bottom of the Assembly Navigator window which will expose the 'buttons' use to expand the optional panels.

It is there, I was not looking at the bottom of the ANT.  Thanks John.
