Desktop Machine Standard

Desktop Machine Standard

Desktop Machine Standard

(OP)
I'm designing a desktop grinding machine. How can I know the maximum standard size for the desktop type machine. I try to find the British standard to get the standard for this.

My question:
What is the maximum size is allowed for the destop type machine?

RE: Desktop Machine Standard

If one or two people can pick up the machine and carry it, it is a desktop machine, as long as it is smaller than a shop workbench (say approx 30 inches by 5 feet).  Just a thought, I really don't know if anyone has published a standard for the definition of "desktop" machines, and what size would constitute its name.
