Swept Feature NX6

Swept Feature NX6

(OP)
I am having trouble joining the two bodies that I have created using the swept feature. Along with that, I need to continue extruding the body along guides that change direction. Is there a better way to do this than the swept feature? I've attached my model to help show my problem. Thanks.

RE: Swept Feature NX6

Even looking at your model, I'm confused as to what you are trying to do. Why all the extra lines/arcs in sketch_000 that don't get used? Is sketch_002 going to be used for anything? Are you trying to transition from certain entities in sketch_000 to sketch_001?

As far as uniting the 2 swept features that you have, I think with a little rework you can get that shape in 1 feature and end up with better surfaces at the same time.

RE: Swept Feature NX6

Your first problem is putting the blend radii in your sketch. Build your corners square and blend them later. Also, using a swept feature here is not the best way to do it.
