Display all part dimensions and dimension names

Display all part dimensions and dimension names

I'm trying to learn how to use Equations. I think I need all the part dimensions and dimension names to be displayed on the part. I'm not able to do this.

RE: Display all part dimensions and dimension names

View->Display Dimension Names

At least that is where it is at in 2011.

RE: Display all part dimensions and dimension names

I am using 2011. Under the View Menu there is no option to Display Dimension Names. It is there under the eyeglass thing on whatever the toolbar is that is fixed in the graphics area. I have it turned on but the few dimensions that I can display go away as soon as I click on something else. I need to display all the dimensions and dimension names without having them disappear when I click on something else.

RE: Display all part dimensions and dimension names

Right click on the annotations folder in the tree and select "Show Feature Dimensions".
Be aware, too, that you don't necessarily need to have all the dims showing. Once you start the equation editor, you can double click on the feature that contains the other dim(s) and they will be displayed. If you do decide to turn on all the dims, be sure to turn them off when you're done. It's so annoying to open a model and have all the dims displayed...

Thank you, Jeff. Doing what you suggested plus clicking on the feature in the Feature Manager works.
