Steel connection design software?

Steel connection design software?

Steel connection design software?

Anyone give comment on which is the
best steel connection design software?

RE: Steel connection design software?

We have used Descon and it is fairly comprehensive.  We found it to be best for moment connections, but somewhat inflexible in braced connections.

RE: Steel connection design software?

Hi St2002

1. You can make your own software
2. or be able to pay several k's for some.

Thanks for your replies.
I always check some steel connection that I think is
critical using my own excel caculation sheet. But
for checking/design  all connections using it is
not a good way. I heard about some software like
X-steel, strucad, SDS/2. Do these  softwares really
check and design steel connection or just model and
detail steel structure?
I want to know the best solution for design steel
(from modeling to design steel members, connections
and  export to CAD...).
Thanks again.
