Quoting on installation jobs.

Quoting on installation jobs.

Hey, if I am quoting on an A/C installation job (For example, a Split unit with Evaporator and Condenser), what are the things I should take into consideration. I am looking for all the help I can get.

RE: Quoting on installation jobs.

Are you going to provide the unit?  How many feet of ductwork, refrigerant piping, electrical conduit, etc.?  Hours to install the air handler, hours to install the condenser, just break it down into materials and time.  Then provide the quote as a proposal and see if you succeed in winning the bid.  Good luck.  Also, condensing units usually sit on a concrete pad, so consider ground work.  Make it a professional job. Period.

Are you running new evap lines?
T-Stat?
Warranty?
Removal and haul off old unit?
Balancing flow?
