Gable Truss With CMU End Wall

Gable Truss With CMU End Wall

(OP)
I have a cold formed gable roof truss with a cmu end wall.  The end wall will actually extend above the roof for a decorative parapet.  How should I brace the wall at the roof level?  My initial idea is to anchor a cold formed angle to the wall to match the roof slope and attach the roof sheathing to this.  However, this will also result in a lot more grouting.  Does anyone have a detail for this?

How far above the roof diaphragm does the parapet extend?

It extends about 5' above the roof.

Sounds like the cmu wall will be heavily reinforced with that much of a parapet.  Just anchor into the reinforced cells.

Agree with FSS....there's your bracing.
