NX 7.5 (64 bit) bolt circles keep going out of date on threaded holes

NX 7.5 (64 bit) bolt circles keep going out of date on threaded holes

NX 7.5 (64 bit) bolt circles keep going out of date on threaded holes

(OP)
When using a bolt cicle in drafting on threaded holes made by the hole feature, they constantly go out of date...even without changing the feature. I have tried different things such as ensuring I'm not picking the threads etc.... but it never fails when I do any changes in the model not even related to the threaded holes it goes out of date. Then its a pain to re-associate the bolt circle because you have to remove the points and put them back in, so I have been just deleting them and waiting to the end to put them back in. Any tips, hints tricks??

Thanks,
Loren

RE: NX 7.5 (64 bit) bolt circles keep going out of date on threaded holes

Try NX7.5.3.3 but I have a customer who has tested that version as have I and we are still seeing the same issue. I've been able to duplicate it sometimes so we are going to log a new IR shortly.

Thanks for the input guys. We just installed 7.5.3.3 for the programming issues so I will keep you posted on wether or not it helps with the bolt circle.

So been using 7.5.3.3 for a while now and the bolt cirlce issues are stil happening... Its strange place a new view and update all views --> sheet is still out of date??--> so I updated all the views agian and then the centermarks go brown --> hit undo and the the sheet is nolonger out of date and the center marks are good = might be a work around or just pure luck.
So in the end 7.5.3.3 did not resolve this issue but when it happens try to undo the last view(s) update and see what happens.

RE: NX 7.5 (64 bit) bolt circles keep going out of date on threaded holes

Logged an IR for our customer, but the problem we saw was when changes were made to the model.

The IR has been closed as per the following:

This behavior is working as designed. When you create a Bolt Circle Centerline then the position of that Bolt circle (center point of circle) and the radius of that Bolt circle is fixed. When the position of a circle changes the Bolt Circle Centerline ignores that circle and gives the "Invalid Radius" alert message when trying to add that circle to Bolt Circle Centerline

I am also experience this with centermarks arcross mutliple holes. When the model changes but the holes do not the centermarks go brown. So I guess we should put in an ER and let them know that there software design blows.
They should try designing a preliminary part that is constanlty changing due changing requirements = what happens in the real world and see how they like redoing bolt circles and centermarks over and over and over again. Kinda funny cause I never had this problem with NX 2 or 4.
