Mod Lock Forms (80's)

Mod Lock Forms (80's)

Mod Lock Forms (80's)

Does anyone have any of the old drawings or specs for an old forming system called Mod Lock?  It is some sort of galvanized steel interlocking block form with internal concrete skins and insulation.  I was looking at one today, and I am not certain how it works yet.  The old drawings are terrible, and we did not find anything with a google search.  They are coring some holes for me, but I thought I would see if I could track any info down here.

Thanks
Brad

Not getting much response here...

Is there any way you can post a picture or two of what this system looks like?

Try searching for Mod Lok, might have what you're looking for.

Mike, I didnt snap any good pics while I was there last time.  The forms look like a stacked running bond block wall when they are complete.  The blocks are roughly 8"x8"x16".  From the drawings (old, vauge and pretty much useless) they are supposed to have interior and exterior concrete skins, but somehow they have a layer of insulation in the middle that could be the full length of the form.  The drawings do not make any mention how the individual blocks connect together.  It is a motarless forming system, so I can only assume that there must be some interlock tabs.  My concern is determining if the forms were intended to be a permanent structural component or just act as a form.  The forms have rusted significantly and there are areas where the walls are bowing outward into the backfill.  It seems that wall movement could be the result of form degredation.

Its not a big deal if I cannot find any info.  We are coring holes to figure out the system.  I was just going to see if anyone was familiar with this before we get to that.

Ten, yes, we did that.

Brad
