Anybody know the heat treatment conditions for spring steel?

Anybody know the heat treatment conditions for spring steel?

Anybody know the heat treatment conditions for spring steel?

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I have a project involving making a flat spring of pre-bended shape. Please look at the picture in the attachment for the final spring shape (without ant loading).

I would like to use the spring steel (1074/1095) to do the job. First, I found the spring steel strip in annealed condition. Then I bended it to the desired shape and do the heat treatment.

My question is:

(1)    Anybody knows the exact heat treatment conditions, for example, the temperature and time for full hardness heat treating, then the following quench liquid and the conditions, and the following temper conditions. Also, should I do the job in vacuum or in some protective air because the spring steel is carbon steel?
(2)    Anybody knows the physical properties of the spring steel before and after the heat treatment, such as the yield point (strain or stress), the elastic modulus. It would be very helpful if anybody could give me the stress-strain curve of the spring steel before and after the heat treatment.

Thank you a lot for any reply and help.

Google "heat treat 1080 steel".
