Solidworks 2009 File Icons

(OP)
I know there has been much discussion about this in the past but due to a recent hard drive failure my Solidworks 2009 installation has been reinstalled and is back to SP0.  Unfortunately we no longer have support.

Now when part/drawing/assembly files are saved the icon is the generic yellow blocks.  The icons used to show a file preview.  If I set the folder option to thumbnails it generates a preview only if the icons haven't been generated then I can switch the folder options to icon view and they stay (until reboot).

I know there is a fix for this, I had to do it in the past, I just can't remember what actually worked.  I have the show thumbnail box checked in Solidworks.

Thank you in advance.  I have attached a picture of what I am talking about.
