Converting English to Metric... Multiply by 25.4...
EASY HUH?!!
Nope!
I have some components of mixed units. (Some are English and metric.) I want them all to be metric. So I started this thread a while back. http://www .eng-tips. com/viewth read.cfm?q id=261407& amp;page=1
THE GOOD:
I've used the methods outlined in this thread to convert the units. I converted a batch of files and the methods worked to an extent.
The bad:
I am noticing that some take a while to open (not a big deal)... I assume its just re-associating dimensions.
THE UGLY:
It has totally hosed the expressions and many formulas found in the parts. The interpart references are also screwed up.
Is this something I am doing wrong or is this just a limitation of the conversion process? I still have the pre-converted parts so I can covert them again.
If anyone can please help steer me straight I'd appreciate it!!
Thanks All!

RE: Converting English to MM using ug_convert_part.exe / convertprt.exe
I forgot to mention that what it hosed up was that it was adding a P569 (random P expression) to many of the expressions.
The interlinked parts now look like some huge formula instead of a consistent value.
Some expressions that were interlinked have now been replaced by solid values instead of an expression such as "XXXXXXXX-001"::Rivets_Number_of
