(OP)
I no longer have access to the demo of inventor, can someone tell me if its possible to model in 'car-line' orientation. We get (non solid based) iges files in car line orientation of say brackets and exhaust components which we would want to design fixtures around. We may need to model at obscured planes in relation to the iges data etc, where it is not always easy to draw and manipulate something around from 'standard'.

Also, because these are 'single level' multiple surfaces and wireframe (which cant be stitched into solids), how well would inventor handle this task?.
We would also need to know all measurements of the parts and where they lye in 3d space etc....is this possible like it is in mdt?.

Does anyone have any inside info on surface/wireframe future integration with Inventor?

Thanks
