More SW Nuisances that need to be turned into ER's
More SW Nuisances that need to be turned into ER's
(OP)
Writing my last post on Driven and Driving dimensions brought up so other stuff I find to be a big fat nuisance.
1) If I am in a sketch and if I have a group of dimensions selected, I can't turn a body/surface to hidden or on if I need to.
I can use the fly out feature tree and select it, but why can't I show/hide it? Sometimes the body/surface is in the way and I don't know until I am well into it. This should be an ER - to be able to turn bodies/surfaces on as needed whenever we are in a command/sketch/or have items preselected.
2) Another nusiance is when I use the Section view and go into a feature to look at something the Section view icon may becomes grayed out until I leave that command. Making the feature may depend on what in or out of the section. Section view should be on or off at all times. I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't be.
3) Section view arrows when setting the section. If I am zoomed into the section of the model and I want to section it, I have to zoom out to find the arrows that are located in the middle of the plane. Why doesn't the arrow come into view while zoomed in? It does that for the most part when I make a feature and I am controlling the reverse location. It doesn't matter if I am zoomed in or not (Example Surface cut).
These are a few of my recent compliants and if you agree turn them into SW ER requests. I plan to.
Best Regards,

RE: More SW Nuisances that need to be turned into ER's
Would it be better if you submitted the ER's, and post the SPR numbers (when/if issued) here for others to add their 'vote' to?
If people submit differently worded ER's, it may not be so easily associated to a single ER.
RE: More SW Nuisances that need to be turned into ER's
I just wanted to vent some as well. Anxiety levels have been off the charts in recent days because these kinds of nuisances.
Will update when I get a chance to post them today.
