Another Motion Q-friction on joints

(OP)
Hello, performing an effort study on nx5 with recurdyn solver, I have a lift mechanism with four links and eight norton bushings, two torsion assist springs with a gear/sector actuator. I have worked this up to a point where I am getting close to expected results and am looking at applying more variables. One of which is the "bending moment" option in the joint friction menu, when I apply this to one joint or all, the mech locks up even after multiplying force 10x. What does this option do?

Thanks, Steve
