Couldn't see the picture. Same mesh? How different? Ansys updates their solver periodically, so slightly different results between versions isn't unheard of.

It's hard to say if they're close or not from the picture since the max stress occurs at a singularity and they're at different scales. If you match scales, do the stresses look similar?

What does it mean 'they're at different scales'?
The unit are MPa in the two images.

One of the scales goes from 0 to 35.5 MPa and the other scale goes from 0 to 57.9 MPa. In order to compare the two, you should right click the scale and select "independent bands". Then you'll be able to set the maximum and minimum values on the scale to the same values in order to see if the stress plot is significantly different. It looks as though the maximum stress occurs at a sharp interior corner (i.e. a singularity). The newer solver might very well give a different value there, but it's likely not a real stress anyway.
