Triplex pump for sour applications

Triplex pump for sour applications

Triplex pump for sour applications

(OP)
I am running into a probalem with triplex pump for condensate application. The gas stream contains 0.3% H2S. There will be some H2S entrained in condensate (won't be much). We just got a triplex pump. The material is ok for sour application but it doesn't come with leak detection system. We have H2S detector in the building to detect any leak. We would like to have the leak detection system but the delivery will be too long. Does anyone see any problem if leak detection system is not equipped?

Thanks.

RE: Triplex pump for sour applications

Does your triplex pump have a covered lantern area between gear and plunger seals? Does this lantern have a drain plug?
