CSA pipe Notch-toughness test - pipe body

(OP)
Hello,

We are purchasing two kins of CSA pipe ;CSA Z245.1 CAT.II gr.483 42" OD x 15.3 mm WT M5C and CSA Z245.1 Cat.II gr.483 42" OD X 22.2mm WT. M45C

CSA Cat. II pipe is required Charpy V-notch impact test and shear fracture test at temperature stated in purchase order.

The problem is that vendor can not perform a shear fractue test with DWTT at -45C as they can not guarantee while Charpy V-notch test is O.K at -45C.

In that case if the value of DWTT at -45C is less than that of the specification, the pipe marking has to be CAT.III M45C or CAT II M5C?

Which one is correct?

In addtion, I have one more inquiry.

I wonder what charpy and DWTT are basically different and why two different tests has to do.

Thank you for help.
