BLDC (PM) motor mystery

BLDC (PM) motor mystery

BLDC (PM) motor mystery

(OP)
In my case I received a motor and was told it was wound for a DC Link of around 600VDC and could spin at speeds of up to 24000RPM.  In actuality it was wound for 350VDC link for 24000RPM.  How can I tell if a BLDC motor is wound for the proper voltage based on the following caveats which is all I had to work with before I was finally told the real voltage constant of the motor?

Caveats:

The motor is connected to a compressor and cannot be decoupled.  Therefore will pull more current the faster it goes.

I had to use a motor drive provided with limited information with regard to it.

The input voltage and current to the motor drive is 495VDC and 26ADC at 16000RPM.

The motor voltage line-line is 293Vrms and phase current is 41Arms at 16000RPM

The compressor showed slight signs of some instability around 16000 RPM and I was not allowed to go any faster due to compressor/AC system limitations.

Note: at 5000RPM the input voltage & current=495VDC & 6.92ADC, the motor Vllrms & Iphase=170Vrms & 32Arms

I can measure the R and the L of the motor.  Would that somehow lead me to figure out the Kt?  Maybe I could use the motor leads as a crude method of estimating maximum current the motor can handle.
