I'm trying to do up a drawing where there's a missing segment on the thread of a drill bit and am having difficulty with it. The problem is that the section is at an angle. Can someone think of a way that this can be done ?? I've included a drawing of what I'm trying to do below. Thanks

RE: Section out of a drill bit

Are you asking how to make the cut feature or how to make the section view?

RE: Section out of a drill bit

You can sketch out the section line in the model and make a plane to create the A-A section with. For your plane use Through Curve & Normal to Sketch plane.

Section B-B needs to be created as an offset x-sec by selecting Offset instead of Planar and picking a Plane to sketch on and sketching the two lines of the B-B section line.

Hi, It's the cut feature itself I'm looking to make.
