Corrupted Drawing

Corrupted Drawing

Corrupted Drawing

(OP)
I created a drawing from a solid model. Added dimensions and
notes. I completed modifications to the solid model. When I attempted to save the drawing a message window popped up and said drawing was corrupted and cannot be saved. I am using version 2011. Is this common occurance and is there some recourse to getting my drawing back?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Corrupted Drawing

Can it open on another PC? Also try rebooting your PC.
You using a PDM application?

RE: Corrupted Drawing

(OP)
Thanks for the response Ctopher.
A co-worker here suggested I "save as copy" the drawing.
That seemed to do the trick. Just to let folks know, I did
not have this problem until I upgraded to 2011 3 weeks ago.
Thanks again ctopher.

RE: Corrupted Drawing

I used to get this occasionally in older versions working across a network. 'Save as' fixed it and I never discovered the cause. Another good case for backups. I think I'll go do one now . . .

RE: Corrupted Drawing

I have this problem atleast once a week but for me it has been parts that are corrupt and with luck save as has helped, other times i lost all edits.

RE: Corrupted Drawing

You're welcome.
The only time I have ever had this problem (been a few years) is after SW or my PC crashed, or the file came from an outside source.
