Single Inlet FDC

13 2010 6.8.1.3 states that I can use a single butt fdc where the riser is 3" or smaller.  I was sure there was a code reference somewhere stating that the fire dept. supply line had to be at least the size of the riser, but I can't find it in the 2010 edition.  I'm thinking I am good to go with a 3 x 2 1/2 mech tee off the riser and a 2 1/2 check valve.  This is one of those times the electronic version with the keyword search would come in handy!

Thanks in advance.

RE: Single Inlet FDC

Check out section 8.17.2.3 in the 2010 edition.
