Can we use the ANSI short circuit calculation method specified in the IEEE 141 to calculate short circuit faults in a 50 Hz system?

Frecuency affect reactance magnitude then you must convert all values. I think that it can be applied to any three phase sinusoidal system to study and analyze balanced or unbalanced faults...

If there was no electricity there would be no internet. Good point, don´t you? :D

Yes. If you are using the short circuit data to check circuit breaker ratings, you need to be aware of the differences in ANSI versus IEC breaker ratings as well as recommended SC calculation methods, as mentioned by juleselec.
