Part list not updating correct

Part list not updating correct

Part list not updating correct

(OP)
In an assembly i did a "Replace Component". After that, when updating the drawings the part list no longer showed correct information. The replaced component is mentioned twice with different Item numbers. Description is the same in both of them but drawing number is the old in one and the new in the other.

Part list says there is 3 of the new component and 1 of the old but i have checked the assembly and the old component does not exist anymore.

RE: Part list not updating correct

Maybe this will help:
Do a rmc (right mouse click) on the upper left corner of the parts list > update parts list

RE: Part list not updating correct

(OP)
No it does not help

RE: Part list not updating correct

Are you using Teamcenter or native, also what version of NX?

RE: Part list not updating correct

(OP)
Yes, Teamcenter and NX 6

I tried removing another part from the assembly, not affected by the array, just to see if the part list updated ok and it did. Creating a new drawing seems to work ok to but i would like my current part list to work.

RE: Part list not updating correct

If there are two occurences of the same part number in the parts list with different quantities, has the row been locked so that it won't update?

RE: Part list not updating correct

(OP)
There are no locked rows.

My part list got these columns. No of, Item no, Description, Drawing no/Article no, Weight.

The information in the part list is

No of, Item no, Description, Drawing no/Article no, Weight
12, 9, Screw MC6S, 000407, 0
4, 13, Screw MC6S, 000421, 0

The correct information should be

16, 9, Screw MC6S, 000421, 0 (The item number can change)

RE: Part list not updating correct

Check to see that the drawing number has not been manually changed in the parts list or part attributes.

Haven't played with PLs since V18, but we used to have an issue with changed numbers not updating correctly.

No, does not seem to be manually changed.

It did occur to me that HSE_SOURCE_ITEM_NO was set to same in both screws for a short period of time when i did the "replace component" but this is not the case now. Maby also HSE_SOURCE_DESCRIPTION was the same.

RE: Part list not updating correct

(OP)
Maby i should add there is two sheets in the drawing if this matters somehow. Both sheets has part list and worked ok but not anymore.

RE: Part list not updating correct

(OP)
I completly removed 000407 from Teamcenter but the drawing (part list) still says its there.

I also tried changing names of some parts in Teamcenter just to see if the part list would update and it did but 000407 will not go away.

RE: Part list not updating correct

(OP)
Now i got the same problem with the partlist in another drawing.

I tried renaming some parts in Teamcenter and it seems like if HSE_SOURCE_DESCRIPTION of the part is set to the same name as Name then the part list will be messed up. I dont know if this is a coincident.

Is there no way to reset the partlist to default or something?
