NEMA 4 Unit Heaters

NEMA 4 Unit Heaters

(OP)
Does anyone know of a manufacturer who offers a NEMA 4 hot water unit heater? I have only been able to find electric unit heaters with a NEMA 4 rating. It seems very odd to me that I can find an electric unit heater that is NEMA 4 but not a hydronic one. Thanks for your help.

RE: NEMA 4 Unit Heaters

Isn't NEMA body which exactly specifies electrical devices?

Hot water heater is not electrical device, so it that should be a reason why your search did not provide results.

RE: NEMA 4 Unit Heaters

Modine and Sterling offer units with explosion proof construction (NEMA 7) these offer better ratings at a higher cost. Since HWUHs only have a fan motor, the bump should not be too large. NEMA 4x offers increased corrosion protection over 7.
