Removing Individual Instances When Using ôReuse Patternö In Assemblies

Using Catia V5R19;

Does this option exist? I'm trying to insert components using a circular pattern from another part but not completely filling up the entire pattern, only in certain locations. Can this be done?

Any response will be greatly appreciated!

If you build your locations in a sketch and use user pattern instead of circular pattern, you can do what your asking for

JOPAL, I tried that approach & it didn't offer me to individually choose the instances. The one solution that I did find is let Catia pattern the whole pattern, then go back & deactivate the components that you don't want. I would like to know, "when does Catia work for the user?"!

RE: Removing Individual Instances When Using ôReuse Patternö In Assemblies

just make the regular reuse pattern. it will show orange dot at each location. before you validate, you can actually clik on any dot to remove the instance at this dot. if you select the dot again the instance will come back after you validate the function.

Itsmyjob, I don't get the orange dot in the assembly environment, I only get in the part environment.

When you want to add/remove instances, go into your locations sketch and add/delete point locations for the instances you want/dont want, this will update your reuse pattern.  Just dont delete the point for the original instance and it will work everytime.
