Block disappear .........

Block disappear .........

Block disappear .........

(OP)
hi
I have a file have blocks with attribute , it can see.
But when I xref it to another file, it is disappear blocks. If I explode blocks it is OK. Do you now variables or... control it .
Thanks

RE: Block disappear .........

Purge the drawing you are attempting to xref the files into. There could be an existing block definition in that drawing interfering with the xref block.

Thanks,maybe like this.
But when I test a sample file same blockname , and xref file same block name it 's OK.
So I think maybe complex drawing ( too much object) make autocad confuse ?
Best regard,

RE: Block disappear .........

"C" if the values are entered at the top line of the via ddedit, then you won't see the text if you XREF this.  The top line is the "TAG NAME" which is set to invisible.  I've seen some people fill this out when they're not fimiliar with attributes.
So you may see the block filled out in the actual file but if you try reference it ... of course, you won't see anything because the properties associated to that line are invisible.

A simple test would be to do ddedit again and leave whatever he/she filled out and fill out the last line in the dialog box.

You'll see that you can see it in the actual file but you will see it the reference.

At least this is what your problem seems like ... I might be wrong.
let me know.
