Export UG drafting dimensions to csv

Export UG drafting dimensions to csv

Export UG drafting dimensions to csv

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to figure out a way to export all the dimensions in the UG drawing(not the model dimensions)to a csv/excel file for downstream activities like preparing the feature verification plan for Quality folks. I have quite a few drawings to be released and so you can understand the pain if I go the manual route.
Thanks!

This sounds like it would require the writing of a custom application using the NX Open tools.

Since dimensions on a drawing all fall within a specific entitiy type, you can mask for those and then scan the drawing to pick them up into a scratch buffer. Then just write the buffer to disk and do what you need to.
We had a GRIP program that would read the dimensions of a metric drawing and then build a table of the metric value with the english equivalent which was placed on the drawing as reference data.
