Renaming Layers in NX 7.5

Renaming Layers in NX 7.5

Renaming Layers in NX 7.5

(OP)
In previous versions of NX, you had the option to rename layers.
I noticed in NX 7.5, that you can only rename groups.  Am I missing something?

RE: Renaming Layers in NX 7.5

I dont know which "Previous version" of NX you are talking about? How will you do that?

As far as I know, it is not possible to rename a Layer. 1-256 are fixed. you can rename a Layer category. which is possible on NX 7.5 also.

RE: Renaming Layers in NX 7.5

You have NEVER been able to 'name' a Layer in NX.  What you can do is create 'named' Categories which allows you to include one or more Layers in a 'group' which you can give a useful name to and which will allow you to perform status changes on the enter Category (group of Layers) at one time.  And this capability is still there, accessible from the main Layer Settings dialog.
