Translation in NX 7.5

Translation in NX 7.5

(OP)
Hi All,

I am using NX 7.5 and I want to make step file of an assembly. There are two options for exporting  step file: Step203 and Step214.

Could anybody tell me what is the difference between them and which option gives a step file containing only outer information and less memory space?

Is parasolid an other option for that?

Thanks in advance,

RE: Translation in NX 7.5

I suggest that you try multiple formats together with the receiver of the data. Then select the option that is both simplest and gives the best results.
I experienced a case where we we had trouble sending out data in dxf format and after some discussions with the receiver we found that .cgm was way simpler/faster and 100% reliable for the purpose.
