Dimension line configuration

Dimension line configuration

Dimension line configuration

(OP)
Hello to all,

I am trying to set the dimension callout so that there is no extended line with arrows out. I attached a file that shows the dimension but I want to eliminate the short overruns of the dimension line on the opposite side of the arrowheads. I know that CATIA does this by default but there must be a way to change.

thanks,

Jerry

RE: Dimension line configuration

If I understand correctly what you're trying to do, right click the dimension > select Properties > select "Extension Line" tab > reduce 'Overrun' to 0.0 mm (or in). I believe you can set the default behavior in the standards file used to generate the drawing, but I have no experience changing the standards files. Does this answer your question, or were you talking about a different line?

Kevin,
Thanks but I was refering to the dimension line. If you look at the arrowheads on the outside of the dim there is a short line on the inside of the dim close to the text. I want to be able this line altogether. I cannot mark it up I do not have the tools.

thanks for your help,

Jerry
