Terminal block for Hazardous area

Anyone please advise

I need to know that require pin lug for cable connection in this terminal blocks or not?
And If without pin lug what will happen when energise.
Note this terminal block is screw type,
thanks

RE: Terminal block for Hazardous area

For a solid (unstranded) conductor you do not need a lug. For stranded conductors you need a lug.

RE: Terminal block for Hazardous area

Since your JB is already explosion proof, the termination will be same as insafe area. Check the type of terminal block and apply the compatible terminal lug. Scotty is correct, you need not to connect terminal lug on single conductor.

RE: Terminal block for Hazardous area

Jed057,
Your box is EEx"e" type which means "increased safety" design. Therefore, the terminal block has got extra creepage distances to avoid sparks. Therefore, use normal lugs if it is a stranded conductor and wire normally. There cannot be special wiring methods.
