MIL-STD-810F is the latest revision of one of several military test standards. It covers pretty much all possible environmental conditions that military equipment might be exposed to and provides a test methodology to verify that such equipment will meet it performance requirements under various environmental conditions. There are a total of 23 test methods, although in the case of vibration, there are 25 subcategories of vibration test, depending on the specific platform upon which the equipment is used or transported.
The test methodology can be implemented by anyone who follows the procedures, but usually, test labs such as NTS or Wyle Labs are the only ones with most or all of the test capabilities. Usually, a company will have vibration or temperature testing capabilities, but not much beyond that.
