NX7.5 Sketch -Curve from Curves - Pattern Curve

NX7.5 Sketch -Curve from Curves - Pattern Curve

NX7.5 Sketch -Curve from Curves - Pattern Curve

(OP)
I was wondering if there was a way to create a linear pattern that would be offset in the X-direction evenly but in the y-direction it would grow incrementally. I want to copy the curves 4 times in the X-direction (pitch = 0.5) but have it move in the Y-direction (n+.25)resulting in 5 sets of curves. I tried the clocking the pattern points (create inffered constrants turned off) but I was unable to set them indivdually (I wanted to clock each one in the Y direction).

Example:
X=0.5 (PITCH) count of 5
X1= 0.0  X2=0.5   X3=1    X4=1.5   X5=2

Y=n+0.25 (pitch) count of 1 (I only want one row)
Y1= 0.0  Y2=0.25   Y3=0.5    Y4=0.75   Y5=1

This seems like it should be simple task maybe I'm just missing something. Any help is appreciated

RE: NX7.5 Sketch -Curve from Curves - Pattern Curve

Try this (example file below is based on this workflow):

Create your vertical Line with the start at 0,0,0.  Now create a smart Point at X=0.50, Y=0.25, Z=0.00.  Now open the 'Instance Geometry' function and using the Type 'From/To' select the Line and then select the Datum Point of the Datum CSYS as your 'From Location' and the smart Point you created as the 'To Location'.  Now enter 4 as your number of copies and hit OK.  Done.

Now once you have this you can edit the X and Y increments by editing the X and Y values of the smart Point.  And you can edit the number of copies by editing the Instance Geometry feature.
