What code should be followed for designing pedestrian/trail bridges in Ontario/Canada

RE: Trail Bridge Design

The Ontario Building Code, I believe.

RE: Trail Bridge Design

Having no idea what the Ontario Building Code looks like, I can say that many building codes don't offer much in terms of pedestrian bridges, decks, walkways, etc. (not down here in Florida). I have referred to AASHTO's guides for pedestrian bridges, maybe there is a Canadian version..

RE: Trail Bridge Design

Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, CAN/CSA-S6-06. You will have to search through for info on pedestrian bridges.

RE: Trail Bridge Design

We combine the AASHTO's guides for pedestrian bridges and section 3.8.9 of Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, CAN/CSA-S6-06.
