Mirror Model without Copying

Mirror Model without Copying

I will need to mirror a part about a vertical line without copying. Is there a function in solid works to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance...

RE: Mirror Model without Copying

I usually use the mirror feature, de-select 'Merge solids'.
then in the 'solid bodies' folder, RMB body to be removed and click 'Delete Body...'

Thanks for the reply Cadflyer,
I got up to using mirror feature, deselecting
merge solids. I complete the mirror. What is
"solid bodies" folder?

RE: Mirror Model without Copying

Do you want both parts to be within the same part file?  Follow CADFlyer's method.  If you want the mirror part file to be a separate part file but still fully parametric to the parent file do this:

From the parent file, select the plane or face you want to mirror about.  Go to Insert> Mirror Part.  This will create a separate file as described above.
