Steel Design LRFD with C++ Language

Does anyone have a sample commands to program steel design LRFD with C++ Language? I want to learn more about C++ and its use in steel design.

Thanks,

RE: Steel Design LRFD with C++ Language

To do that properly you are looking at thousands of lines of code.  A few examples would be meaningless.  There are numerous packages on the market with years of development and knowledge.  Why try to re-create the wheel?

Thanks ron

Do you know where I can get that source code for c? I do not want to reinvent wheel but I would like the code so I can do my own modifications as necessary.

Thanks

RE: Steel Design LRFD with C++ Language

You're talking about the inner workings of the program.  True the steel code they are based upon is publicly available, but the syntax of the subroutines is unique and proprietary.  There's no way RISA for example would share it's source code.  That's the heart and soul of their copyright and patent and what they have paid a lot of money for their programmers to do.

You might have better luck getting ahold of the Coca-Cola recipe?
