hello - i am in sales for a small company & we get e-drawings from outside vendors that i have to be able to see to quote - our engineering dept has solidworks & i can have one of our engineers print the drawing for me but i want to know if there is a free program that i can download to view e-drawings - any info or help would be appreciated - thank you

RE: free viewer for e-drawings

An e-drawing is a specific transportable format, for which you can get a free viewer here:

If you intend the word 'e-drawings' to mean CAD files in general, there are some free viewers, most of which are large and/or buggy and generally not worth the trouble to install them if you can talk someone into making decent paper prints for you.

hello again & thank you for the reply - i should have clarified my e-drawing as  solidworks specific - i found the link you have posted & thank you so much - for your help

RE: free viewer for e-drawings

Note:

Last time I looked (about a month ago), the SW eDrawings download page was out-of-date, and only said it had eDrawings 2009.  BUT, the download is current eDrawings 2011.

RE: free viewer for e-drawings

And if you're looking for a free tool to read/write DWG/DXF files, try Draftsight
