Restriction Orifice Plate Thickness Calculator

Restriction Orifice Plate Thickness Calculator

Would anybody happen to have an (Excel based) RO plate thickness calculator ?
(My work's computer was recently upgraded and I've lost the one that I had.)

Thanks.

thanks Ione but, not what I'm looking for. I have similar calculators but, I'm looking for a program that will calculate the thickness of the RO plate based a known pressure drop.
If you need a good free down loadable FE/RO calculator
get the DG2floCalLite. It's a great program !

RE: Restriction Orifice Plate Thickness Calculator

R.W. Miller formula for orifice plate thickness calculation

tmin ≥ SQRT [(0.681-0.651*BETA)*deltaP/Y] * pipe ID

where

tmin = min plate thickness [mm]
BETA = ratio of orifice hole diameter to pipe diameter
deltaP = pressure drop [MPa]
Y = plate material yield stress [MPa]
Pipe ID = pipe internal diameter [mm]

Ione,

much obliged for the formula.

best regards,

danny
