Rendering settings for initial setup

Rendering settings for initial setup

Rendering settings for initial setup

(OP)
Hey all,

I just installed UG nx6 & am having problems with the rendering settings. It seems ok for most basic shapes, but as soon as I add a blend, the render fails & it looks like crud. I think the wire frame views looks ok, but as soon as I switch to a shaded view the rendering fails.

Thanks in advance for any & all help,

Ashton

RE: Rendering settings for initial setup

By 'rendering' do you mean 'photo-realistic' or something else?

When I switch from wireframe to a shaded view the graphics are all messed up and I don't get a solid model.  Its like the rendering fails and the solid is just a bunch of lines connected together.

Bump

RE: Rendering settings for initial setup

Goto Preferences - Visualization Preferences then Faceting and there you will see Shaded views, with a pull down menu Tolerance try to change it to extra fine and see what happens, normally you will have a fine rendering now.

Also go to...

View -> Camera -> Edit...

...and push the 'Fit Planes to Extents' buttton in the section fo the dialog titled 'Clipping'.

Also make sure that you using a certified configuration, particularly the graphics card, and that you've installed a certified driver.
