thread569-246884: Interfacing ANSYS with MATLAB

I see that slumdogengineer gave some tips on how to interface between matlab and ansys.

I want to do finite element updating based on modal properties of a structure.

My goal is to find the change in a material property by  minimizing an objective function which I'd like to call in matlab.

I think I have to do this because my matrix from experimental results and from the FEM analytical model are different sizes so I need to partition the analytical model matrix in order to use it.

I would like to use matlab for this. My FE model is in Ansys.

I don't have a lot of programing experience but I am a fast learner. If somebody has a good tutorial or guideline on how to interface between Ansys and Matlab in order to do parametric studies, please share.
