I am currently running a transient analysis in ANSYS where a time-varying point load is applied to a structure. On running the analysis with ' small transient displacement' a result is output. however, on running the identical analysis with large transient displacement in the solution control selected the analysis is un convergent!
Why is this the case? Does anyone know of the conditions which must be met to allow for large transient displacement?

Current integrated circuit (IC) designs are complex, which can result in different voltages being located close to one another. To prevent time dependent dielectric breakdown (TTDB), it is essential to incorporate space rules within IC design. Download Now
