Displacement of nodes, relating to time steps

Displacement of nodes, relating to time steps

Displacement of nodes, relating to time steps

(OP)
Hi All,

I am trying to model staged construction process using ANSYS. I am using 3 element in 2 load steps on top of each other.(it is actually like a column) I am using element birth and death for this analysis.

Main problem I am facing is to get the relative displacement between 2 load steps.
for example, during first load step, I get displacement in first element, the I restart the analysis then activate the 2nd element and solve it, the displacement I get after the second load step includes the displacement of first load step as well. I can find the relative displacement by deducting each other, but its not convenient. Is there a method to get the relative displacement between nodes relative to time steps.
Thanks
