RE: simple and easy to use FE program

Sounds like you're looking for more of Mat / slab design program.

There are a lot of them out there (Adapt, Concept, PCA, RISAFoundation, SAFE, et cetera).  I'm partial to RISAFoundation for obvious reasons (I work for RISA), but there are a number of them on the market. Some will be better for foundations than elevated slabs (RISAFoundation), others will be better for PT slabs (Adapt).

If you want to take a look at at Demo Version of RISAFoundation you can get one at the following URL:
http://www.risa.com/forms/demo_request.html

RE: simple and easy to use FE program

Hey josh, is it true risa was developed by someone from  fluor. Just rumors I heard when I worked at fluor before.

RE: simple and easy to use FE program

Yup, there are 3 of us that used to be ex-Fluor guys.  None of our times at Fluor overlapped.  But, a number of us got our start over there right out of college.

I am a total softie when it comes to Fluor.  Lots of good engineers over there...a great place for a young engineer to learn the profession. At least it was back when I was there (especially when Bob Bachman headed up the Structures group).  smile

RE: simple and easy to use FE program

I'd recommend RAM Concept, especially if you already have RAM Structural System.  It works the same ADAPT, but I find it is much more efficient at handling large models.  Also, RAM has better technical support and interoperability with programs they offer for other materials.

thanks guys, I had a look on your proposals but all seams to be to difficult then i actually like the PROKON FE medul much more easier. I just wanted to compare some slabs with a other program
