Design of a signal sequence chart
Design of a signal sequence chart
(OP)
Does anyone know of a standard for developing a sequence chart? I've seen examples that list Phase A,B on the left side and a row of signal head numbers across the top. I've also seen examples of the phase numbers listed down the left column. How should the chart look if you are not using phases 3 and 7?

This is what I'm looking for
Example:
Phase 1 - Signal head 1 is green, all other heads red
Phase 2 - Signal heads 1 and 2 are green, all other heads red
etc.

The Phase Sequence Diagram is a separate graphic that illustrates the controller ring structure and the phases in each ring.
When the signals are part of a coordinated system we utilize an additional chart for the phase splits, offsets and cycle lengths. Time of day programming changes are listed in a TOD table.
