high temp low current displays
high temp low current displays
(OP)
Anyone know of any low current (<5mA) display types that can be stored above 100C? Op temp would be pretty normal. I've looked at LCD's extensively, but the few I find that can go that high have huge minimum orders. If anyone knows of a product with the DV5520 display, I'd be happy to buy it for the display. Mechanical bit indicators also occurred to me, but I'm assuming that enough to create an interesting message would be impractical, since I'd rather not have the display be more than 100mm in any dimension. Any ideas would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

Is this common for military electronics to meet this storage temp range or not so common? I suppose there is some standard that you need to meet that specifies the storage temp?
Have you checked vacuum flourescent displays? Not sure if they require more or less than LCD but I think less and more robust than an LCD (wider temp range).
