Welding 8630 material to X80
(OP)
Any one have suggestions on welding 8630 to X80? This is my second try and every time the 8630 HAZ hardness is well over NACE MR0175 requirements.

Your original base material hardness exceeds your final PWHT hardness requirements for service. Either select a high PWHT temperature for this application or reconsider your application.

After reading your last reply, I agree completely with metengr. You will need a high PWHT temperature in order to soften 8630.
