We have a project that we're goint to have to weld a tee joint for two plates of stainless steel. One piece is 5/8" thick and the one the tees up to it is 3/8" thick. Is there any guidence out there for the design dimensions for the slot? Im not having any luck on google.

RE: slotted t-joint

hi mielke

Why do you need a slot? why can't you just sit one plate on the other.
Maybe a sketch of what your trying to do wuld be helpful as its not quite clear to me.
