layer issue?

layer issue?

layer issue?

(OP)
Hi,

I have drawn a simple sketch on a drawing sheet, and I want to lay a view of a part on top of the sketch. Trouble is, the sketch always appears to overlay drawing view - lines of the sketch cross right through it, and hatch/fill areas completely obliterate it.

I'd assumed all I'd have to do is put the drawing view onto a new layer, and make that layer the top layer. But I guess I'm thinking of layers as in Autocad or Fireworks or something.

Is there a way to achieve this in SW?

Thanks,

John

RE: layer issue?

Put the sketch inside the part, and set the sketch to Show in the view.
